Dementia Friendly Community: Members
Each member creates an action plan outlining how they will support people with dementia and their carers. Within our area, there are sadly many people affected by dementia and we feel that every individual, club, group, service and organisation has a valuable part to play to help make our town more dementia friendly. If you are a local business, organisation or community group and are interested in getting involved and playing a part in making our town more dementia friendly please get in touch.
The Haywards Heath Dementia Friendly Community steeting committee is made up of volunteers and we are always looking for people to get involved either by joinng the committee or volunteers to help promote dementia awareness locally. We are a friendly group who are all interested in helping to make our community more dementia friendly and we need additional volunteers to help make a difference to people in our community. We would like to develop initiatives, promote dementia awareness and create more events/activities throughout our community. The time commitment can be as short or as long as individuals wish. You could help develop dementia awareness, encourage others in our area to get involved, promote dementia training or maybe have some of your own ideas developed. If you are have an interest in dementia and would like to get involved, please get in touch with the group.
Join the Haywards Heath Dementia Friendly Community
Organisations from the Haywards Heath area are encouraged to sign up to the Haywards Heath Dementia Friendly Community and make a difference to local people living with dementia. The Alliance is made up of local organisations committed to improving the quality of life for all people with dementia and their carers. Each member organisation creates an action plan outlining improvements they will make to support people affected by dementia and submits it. Once a member, organisations are encouraged to keep these plans up to date, highlighting changes made etc.
